Qwrki

Slack setup guide

Updated 26 October 2026

What it does

Qwrki connects Slack to one of your companies so bound channels reach an AI employee, and the employee can reply as Qwrki.

Bind a channel to an AI employee on the install's own page before anyone can reach it from chat.

Before you start

You need permission to connect chat apps in Qwrki and permission to install the Qwrki app in the Slack workspace you intend to connect. Decide which company holds the install before starting.

Install and connect

  1. In Qwrki, open Chat apps.
  2. Pick the company that holds it.
  3. Choose Continue to Slack and consent in the Slack window that opens.
  4. Open the install to bind a channel and link handles.

Permissions

The install asks for the permissions below. In plain words they let Qwrki read messages that mention it, send messages as Qwrki, list channels, offer slash commands, read direct messages sent to Qwrki and files shared with Qwrki in direct messages, and read messages in public channels Qwrki is added to. Private-channel history is not asked for.

  • app_mentions:read
  • chat:write
  • channels:read
  • groups:read
  • commands
  • im:read
  • im:history
  • files:read
  • channels:history
  • groups:history

After connecting

Open the install to bind a channel and link handles. Messages sent to Qwrki in a bound channel or a direct message are read under the permissions above.

Disconnect

Open Chat apps and disconnect the install.

If Slack stops accepting Qwrki's token, reconnect it from Chat apps.
