Qwrki

Xero setup guide

Updated 26 October 2026

What it does

Qwrki connects your organisation to a Xero organisation so your team can read its invoices and contacts, review imported contacts and use the supported invoice and contact actions.

Before you start

You need permission to manage integrations in Qwrki and a Xero sign-in that can authorise the organisation you intend to connect. Check that you are using the right organisation and company before authorising access.

Install and connect

  1. In Qwrki, open Integrations and choose Xero.
  2. Choose Connect and sign in to the Xero organisation you want to use.
  3. Review the permissions and authorise the connection in Xero.
  4. If your Xero sign-in covers more than one organisation, choose the one Qwrki should use.
  5. Return to the Xero page in Qwrki to check the connection and its records.

Permissions

The install asks for the permissions below. They allow the account connection and reading Xero invoices, contacts, profit and loss reports and organisation settings. Xero also keeps you signed in so an admin is not asked to reconnect on every visit.

  • accounting.invoices.read
  • accounting.contacts.read
  • accounting.reports.profitandloss.read
  • accounting.settings.read

After connecting

Open the Xero page and use Sync now to read the available figures. Open Records to review imported contacts.

If Xero needs new permissions, the page asks you to reconnect so AI Employees can create invoices and contacts there.

Writes and approvals

Qwrki must have Xero writes switched on for this deployment, and Writes must be ON for this connection, before supported Xero writes can run.

The write permissions are accounting.invoices, accounting.contacts, accounting.payments. They are requested only when Xero writes are switched on for this deployment. The connection's Writes switch is separate from its Xero permissions and starts OFF. Turning Writes ON does not grant a Qwrki role or skip an approval.

Disconnect

Open the Xero integration in Qwrki and choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting deletes the imported contacts and stops the Xero figures. Imported contacts already removed, and any linked to a customer, are kept.

What happens to your data

A person removed in Qwrki stays removed. The privacy policy explains how Qwrki handles personal data. The terms explain use of the service.

Support

For setup help, contact support@qwrki.com. Include the provider and the step that failed, but never send a connection key or access token.
